Access to a power transmission system means that the transmission system is continuously used by energy entities connected thereto for the purpose of power injection/ withdrawal. The access to the power transmission system is a service offered by the Serbian TSO – AD Elektromreža Serbia to the energy entities connected to its transmission system, based on which the company generates revenue. Conditions and method of setting the maximum allowed (cap) revenue to AD Elektromreža Serbia are regulated by the Methodology for Setting Tariff Elements for Pricing Access to and Use of Electricity Transmission System adopted by the Energy Agency of the Republic Serbia. AD EMS refers to this Methodology when proposing transmission access tariff rates. The transmission access charges are subject to the approval of the Energy Agency of the Republic of Serbia. Revenues for providing the service of access to the transmission system are the most significant and most prevailing source of JP EMS incomes. A transmission access accounting period starts at 7.00 AM of the first calendar day of a month and ends at 7.00 AM of the first calendar day of the following month. Matters related to the transmission access are regulated by a Transmission System Access Contract concluded between AD Elektromreža Srbije and energy entity obliged to pay the access service charges. First implementation of transmission access tariff commenced on January 1, 2008.
