Preserving global environment for further generations, identifying, monitoring and controlling all aspects of environmental protection, preventing pollution and creating the conditions for the application of the best available technologies are at the core of operation of Elektromreža Srbije.
Separate departments of the company systematically monitor and evaluate important environmental protection parameters and in accordance with them undertake the necessary measures to control and reduce adverse effects. Elektromreža Srbije manages waste and hazardous materials responsibly, measures the magnitude of electromagnetic radiation (electric field and magnetic induction) and applies all measures of protection, saves natural resources and energy, and seeks to raise energy efficiency.
Special attention is paid to safeguarding nature reserves and national parks. Regular cooperation with the local community has been established in everyday activities, especially in extraordinary circumstances.
Integrated system of quality management, environmental protection and occupational health and safety applied in Elektromreža Srbije is compliant with the requirements of SRPS ISO 9001: 2008; SRPS ISO 14001: 2005 and SRPS OHSAS 18001: 2008 standards.
