Branko Đorđević is the executive director of the Transmission in the Joint Stock Company “Elektromreza Srbija”, Belgrade – EMS. By profession, he has a degree in electrical engineering and a master’s degree in organizational sciences. He is a doctoral student at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Belgrade. After graduating, he worked in the education for a while, and then in 2006 he got a job at Public Enterprise Elektroprivreda Srbije in the organizational part of Elektrodistribucija Beograd distribution company. In the period 2008 – 2012, he worked for a multinational power company based in Bonn, Federal Republic of Germany. Since 2013, he has been employed by EMS, where he went through all levels of the organization, starting with engineering operational jobs in Investments, and then in 2016, he moved to Transmission, where he was the head of the High Voltage Power Lines department for a year and a half, and then for 4 years Director of the Transmission System Engineering Support Division. He is a member of the global technical organisation CIGRE Paris. He is the chairman of the Study Committee B1 for cable systems and a member of the Study Committee B2 for overhead lines in CIGRE Serbia. He is the chairman of the Cable Standards Commission at the Institute for Standardization of Serbia. He has published papers in technical journals and presented at domestic and international conferences and has several award-winning papers. Since 2008, he has been a member of the Serbian Chamber of Engineers and holds all design and construction licenses for power engineering.
Branko Đorđević was born in Belgrade in 1980, he though spent his childhood and youth days in Užice. He is married and the father of three children. In his youth he practiced martial arts, today he is an active recreational athlete in several sports.
